“Ain't No Gators”
Hear tell of a gator, lurkin round crum elbow creek
Seen by some town folk, word is he's over six feet
These people must be crazy, there ain't no gators
Up here in the Empire State
There's been, talk of a gator, stealin chickens from the Gilbert farm
Cats and dogs are missing, folks can hear that reptile hissin after dark
Well it's the third beast in a month, to make headlines,
in the evening news!
Well I can't believe there's a gator in Central Park
And won't believe there's a gator up in Buffalo, NY
Now I know that gators are found in the Everglades
But gators in New York State? Well there ain't no way
This talk its got me shakin, you know I'm trying to keep my cool
Now every time I go swimming, well I just gotta check the pool!
Im afraid i might get chomped, or become lunch,
for an overgrown souvenir!
Well I can't believe there's a gator in Central Park
And won't believe there's a gator up in Buffalo, NY
Now I know that gators are found in the Everglades
But gators in New York State? Well there ain't no way
I remember when I was 4 years old, my cousin got a pet
It had a broad little snout a long thin tail and liked to get its feet wet
When it got too big her daddy just made her, flush it down the bowl
Where it went after that?...................Well know one knows!
They're killed for coats and jackets
And they hunt them for their skin
Wallets, shoes and handbags
Well it's a dog gone shame .......and a sin
I'll bet these carnivores are angry
And they're coming back......coming back for revenge
Chorus
“I’m so crazy bout ya baby”
Well I'm so crazy bout you baby, and I'm crazy for your lovin too
Said I'm so crazy bout you baby, and I'm crazy for your lovin too
I’m so outta my mind love, really don’t know what to do (Lovin you)
Somethings wrong with me baby, cause I just can’t, stay away
Must be something wrong with me baby ,cause I just can’t, stay away
I’m so crazy bout you baby, I tremble when you look my way
Solo
Well you drive me wild woman, losin my self control
Said you drive me wild woman, lost my self control
I’m so crazy bout you baby,
Well I’d drive down to Texas, just to hold your hand
Said I’d drive all the way to Texas, just to hold your hand
I’m crazy bout you baby, won’t you let me be your man
Solo
Well I'm so crazy bout you baby, and I'm crazy for your lovin too
Said I'm so crazy bout you baby, and I'm crazy for your lovin too
I’m so outta my mind love, really don’t know what to do (Lovin you)
“New Orleans Is Callin”
Well I've always felt the magic,
Got a deep yearning pain
An old soul connection
That I just can't explain
Always felt a tug
Always had desire
Love within my heart
A special kind of fire
New Orleans is calling
New Orleans is calling
New Orleans is calling
Time to hit the road.
New Orleans is calling
Life is getting tougher
And I sure am feelin old
I’d like to, Pass a good time
And drop this heavy load
Packin up my bags
packin my guitars
Drivin i10
It’s written in the stars
New Orleans is calling
New Orleans is calling
New Orleans is calling
Time to hit the road.
New Orleans is calling
Cryin for the bayou
Zydeco so sweet
Louisiana Gumbo
New Orleans and me
Give me that French quarter
Bourbon street, and beads
Cajun, to the creole ,
Martis gras New Orleans
New Orleans is calling
New Orleans is calling
New Orleans is calling
Time to hit the road.
New Orleans is calling
“In The Buff”
I had just turned sixteen, finally old enough to drive
Took my written permit test, and I scored a ninety five
My mom and Dad agreed, along with sister Joan
They'd take turns to teach me all the rules of the road
My first lesson was with dad, I thought we'd use his Buick
He said "fuggedabout it, that car's an automatic!"
"Your mother and I decided, it's better that you learn
A manual transmission, here's a gift that you have earned"
So he pointed to the beast, my brother left behind
With Tony off to college, that Chevy became mine
So I gave the car a nickname, for it's noises, grunts, and snorts
The "Great White Buffalo", and I called it BUFF for short
In the buff, (in the buff), In the buff, (in the buff)
Couldn't wait to take my road test in the buff
With my daddy next to me, I'd soon be a licensee
I always felt so comfy in the BUFF
My next lesson was with sis, her import car was great
She explained the pedals to me, she told me to concentrate
She said "ok, let's try reverse", and I started grinding gears
She yelled that's it, you're done, I ought to kick your little rear
So it was back to my belair, with three gears on the tree
A hurtin 8 track player, in the trunk a nest of bees
That radio never worked, but that didn't bother me
Cause that car was all mine, and I loved her 283
In the buff, (in the buff), In the buff, (in the buff)
Couldn't wait to take my road test in the buff
With my daddy next to me, I'd soon be a licensee
I always felt so comfy in the BUFF
As a matter of fact, there were SO many things I did for the first time in the BUFF
I took my drivers test, in the buff
It's a miracle I passed it, in the buff
I drove to school everyday! In the buff
Cruised down Main Street, in the buff
Did the drive thru car wash, in the buff
Went to the Hyde Park drive in theater, in the buff
I'd run my mother's errands, in the buff
Why, I went on my first date, in the buff
And I got my first speeding ticket, in the buff
You know I drove to church on Sundays in the buff
With my daddy next to me, I'd soon be a licensee
I always felt so comfy in the buff, I always felt so comfy in the buff
People loved to see me in the BUFF!!!!
“My Old Friend”
It's been a longtime, since I've seen you, my old friend
It's been a long time, since I made my way to the riverside
It's been way too long, since I, prayed on my knees
It's been a longtime, since I've seen you, my old friend
Do you remember the days of old
Time never mattered, so we'd talk all night
While the moon, the moon danced all around us
Do you remember the friends we had
Some turned out special, and some went bad
I'm always counting my blessings, live a day at a time
It's been a longtime, since I've seen you, my old friend
It's been a long time, since I made my way to the riverside
It's been way too long, since I, prayed on my knees
It's been a longtime, since I've seen you, my old friend
Solo
I see that people look after you
You've seen some tough tides, and you've been misused
Better days coming my friend, we got a long way to go
I'll always know where to find you my friend
Flowing by the old dock, across the railroad tracks
When That old train whistle blows, gets me thinking of you
It's been a longtime, since I've seen you, my old friend
It's been a long time, since I made my way to the riverside
It's been way too long, since I, prayed on my knees
It's been a longtime, since I've seen you, my old friend
It's been a longtime, since I've seen you, my old friend
